THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE DETAILS

Made possible together.

Demo music: Invention No. 8 in F major, BWV 779 by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750). Public-domain composition and Mutopia transcription by Allen Garvin, from the Bach-Gesellschaft edition (Mutopia-2008/06/15-61). Stavewise converted the notation to MusicXML and plays it using the piano samples credited below. Mutopia’s public-domain dedication permits redistribution, modification, performance, recording and commercial use. Score source and conversion details.

Piano recordings: Salamander Grand Piano, a sampled Yamaha C5 by Alexander Holm, distributed by Tone.js Audio under CC BY 3.0. Stavewise uses pitch shifting, volume envelopes, filtering and room reverb. These recordings use one source velocity layer.

Rigged hand meshes: Immersive Web Input Profiles, MIT licence. Stavewise provides the posing, finger guides and piano geometry. Suggested fingerings are a starting point and can be changed in Review notes.

Music reader: unmodified Audiveris 5.11.0 (source code), AGPL-3.0. Text model: Tesseract English 4.1.0, Apache-2.0. Rendering: Three.js (MIT), OpenSheetMusicDisplay (BSD-3-Clause), VexFlow (MIT). Font: Nunito Sans (OFL), from Google Fonts.
